Photo-Electric Cell Protection
The standard safety system included in most gate automation, is of the reactive type. In other words, damage will occur if the gates close on a moving vehicle. Photoelectric cells provide a pro-active means of safety. By projecting an infrared beam of light across the opening, the logic can determine if the gate opening is clear or blocked. This then stops the gate from closing while the beam is broken.  Sliding gates require one (1) set (sender & receiver), while for full protection swing gates need two (2) sets, one set at the front of the gates and the second behind the gate swing. We advise that if you select automatic close, you should select the photoelectric cell option.

INDUCTIVE LOOP DETECTORS
The innovative PD130 & PD230 series of inductive loop vehicle detectors are compact yet have all the features and benefits found on much larger modules.

Miniature single & dual channel detectors from Nortech make it unnecessary to compromise when selecting a detector for parking control & motorised door or gate applications

These detectors are most commonly used as devices to provide free exit and as a safety method for barrier gates, automatic gates and doors or to arm access control systems i.e. access control will only operate when a vehicle is present). 

With a building wire loop fitted in a suitable road surface and a twisted feeder leading to the Nortech detector, a suitable magnetic inductive field is created that provides reliable accurate and trouble free vehicle detection

Battery Back Up
Most gate openers can be easily fitted with a battery backup module to allow for multiple operations the gate even during a power failure. The battery is maintained automatically by the electronic control module and will automatically be recharged upon return of acceptable mains power supply.

PIN Number Access
To provide entry & exit for friends and relations, plus workmen such as gardeners, builders & the Energex meter readers. The units will not work without the correct PIN (personal identification number) being entered.  This low cost unit, works by radio control just like your key ring transmitter, no wiring is required. Uses one (1) code only, but with a receiver upgrade can run 45 codes.
